Summer Bridge Culmination

August 6th ArTES celebrated the culmination of this year’s Summer Bridge class. The day started with a last council in Mr. Berlin and Mr. Massey’s class, Ms. Naturman, Ms. Evans, and Ms. Conant’s classes followed by an hour of games lead by our peer leaders.

After that it was time to get to the MPR to hear the CCLA band lead by Mr. Sutherland and featuring some of our returning alums! The Class of 2020 along with their friends and family were also treated to spoken word by Get Lit Player Erik Guerrero, a number by the CCLA Dance Company as well as a performance from Carrie by the Theater Ensemble. Ms. Evans directed a group of freshmen recruits to Soul Lab with an original tribute to this year’s Summer Bridge experience. The assembly recognized outstanding MAPS scholars in English and Math.

After the assembly it was time to head outside for a potluck (thank you Educare) and some music thanks to MC Lab and DJ Alex to celebrate and enjoy the day. Congratulations to our hard-working Freshmen and much appreciation to Mr. Rauh Summer Bridge Coordinator, and the Summer Bridge Teachers: Mr. Massey, Ms. Naturman, Mr. Berlin, Ms. Evans, and Ms. Conant.
