Bio

Olivia Naturman received her undergraduate education from UCLA, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a BA in History. She later earned a MA in Education from Loyola Marymount University. Ms. Naturman received the Merrell Frankel Innovative Social Studies Teacher Award, as well as being a multiple nominee and winner of the Teacher of the Year by the Encino Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Naturman has worked extensively with USC/CALIS to train teachers in the Four Worlds framework for social studies education, as well as being a frequent presenter at conferences for the California Council for Social Studies and at Constitution Day at the Reagan Library. After 15 fantastic years of teaching at the middle and high school levels, Ms. Naturman is thrilled to have the opportunity to join ArTES with its passionate and talented students, wonderful parents, outstanding and supportive staff, and a clear vision of excellence in the arts and academics. She strives to support and prepare all of her students for higher education and to become historians (and lovers of history!) in their own right.
