    Bio

Michael Gonzalez attended Northern Arizona University for his undergraduate career where he graduated in May of 2019. He studied Music Education alongside Chemistry Education, but in the end chose to pursue science teaching full-time. He recently finished his student teaching in Flagstaff Arizona at Coconino High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, a Bachelor of Science Education in Secondary Education Chemistry, as well as a minor in Music Education.

It was Michael’s dream to teach since he was in 6th grade, and he feels fortunate to be able to pay back to the community what his teachers did for him and how they changed his life. Through chemistry and physics He hopes to teach students to see the value in questioning everyday happenings and to think critically about processes of change through their study of Chemistry and Physics. With the rise of denialist views on science, he feels science education is needed now more than ever.
