Bio
Ms. Maria Gonzalez received a B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Northridge. She then pursued a Master’s of Science in Counseling degree with an emphasis in School Counseling. Upon graduation she began working for LAUSD as a college counselor in the high school setting. During that time, she completed a College Counseling Certification through UCLA Extension. After nearly 5 years of college counseling, she returned to the school counseling setting.
Ms. Gonzalez believes in equitable access for all students, in the school context and beyond. She strives to provide students with the skills needed to advocate for themselves and is committed to creating a safe environment for the unique needs of all learners.
