Art and Music For 700 Teens From All Over LA! – ArTES Brought The DJs and MCs!

Saturday night the ArTES DJs played for over 700 students from all over LA; some even coming from as far away as San Pedro! DJ Altern, DJ Clumsy, and DJ Pheroe kept the dance floor packed along with a little help from VOI’s DJ Mauricio. MC Lyric Dragon, MC Urban, and MC Dan, kept the crowd pumped and the ArTES crew came out to support!

The museum was left open for students to explore, and there were some extraordinary installations including Chris Burden’s Metropolis II, a kinetic sculpture in which miniature cars zoom around a cityscape on electric tracks. In addition to the exhibits, LACMA hosted guests to a taco bar and set up several workshops at which students could create their own art.
